The Select Program was established to provide an additional opportunity for players who wish to improve their softball skills beyond the regular league season but who have not yet reached the Junior Olympic “A” Classification skill level. This program is for 10U through 14U players who wish to improve their softball skills and thereby benefit themselves as well as their league. The Select Program will be in effect January 1 through March 31 of the current season.

Select Player Eligibility
Select players must be individually registered with a recreation league, as required in paragraphs.
Select players must be drafted onto an active recreation league team roster in the current season.
Select players must play in a minimum of 75 percent of the leagues scheduled games during the current season.

Select Team Eligibility
Select teams may be established in the 10U, 12U and 14U Age Classifications ONLY.
The team roster may include up to 20 players.
Participation is limited to one day per week.
Select team participation may not interfere with any regular season participation.
Select teams may not have more than four (4) players who have participated on a travel type team after February 1 of the current season. Select teams shall be comprised of players from a single Recreation League.
Select teams must be approved by the League Board of Directors.
A Select Team or player that participates in a USA Softball “A”, Gold or any non USA Softball travel type qualifying event shall NOT be eligible for participation in “B” Classification Championship Play.
Recreation Leagues may not host their own Select Tournaments.
Select Teams may not participate in Select Team friendlies that conflict with their District Select Tournament.
All Select Team friendlies must be approved by the District Commissioner.
